Scholarship Criteria 2019
The Bergen County Charity Classic is a non-profit community-based organization that is dedicatedto education and enhancing the lives of youth athletes and their families through elite baseball competition.
The BCCC Scholarship awards multiple grants paid directly to the College orUniversity of up to $5,000 each
· Currently enrolled as a high school Senior who will graduate in June of 2019
· Finalists must have been accepted or have applied to a College or University with plans to enter as a Freshman in the Fall of 2019
· high academic standards
· personal contribution to community service
· dedication to athletics
· financial need
If you do meet these requirements, please complete the Scholarship application form by following the link at the bottom of the page, and submit all supporting documentation prior to the due date of May 1st, 2019. In addition to the application 3 Letters of Recommendation are required. Applicants can submit a copy of the FAFSA application to show the level of financial need, this is not required. All supporting documentation should be Up loaded along with your application . All correspondence should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with applicant’s last name in the subject line. Winners will be selected before or on May 21, 2019.
Disclaimer: If it is determined in a graduation year that no candidate meets the established criteria for the scholarship award, none will be given. Applicant must be willing to attend an in-person interview if requested by the selection committee. All scholarship grants are made with the full approval of the BCCC directors and trustees.The Scholarship selection is managed by a selection committee comprised of Scholarship and Financial Aid Professionals. Grants are subject to change based on available funds raised from the tournament. The BCCC directors and trustees are not obligated to justify or explain scholarship selections. Verbal or written communications regarding the selection are not contractual and can change. The BCCC is not obligated to or contractually liable for changes to the scholarships.
